CEBA will be meeting at the Oatland Island Wildlife Center, on August 11th for a club meeting. CEBA is combining two important topics for the meeting: (1) Honeybees & Summer Heat (a few things YOU can do to help) and (2) Varroa Treatment using CEBA Varrox Vaporizer stick+ Oxalic (Club Kit that Members Check out to treat their bees).
Kaley Kirby will be our primary Speaker covering the topic of Varroa, treatments, etc. Many may remember Kaley from teaching the "Hands on Training" inspections for varroa in the bee yard. We look forward to having her back in the classroom environment.
We will be showing the kit items inside the classroom. IF you have not used the Varrox Vaporizer, or need a review on "mite counts", then this meeting is for you. Additional conversations on screen bottom boards, "fake boxes" below the screen bottom boards, and returning to solid bottom boards are included in the conversations.
Varroa Treatments:
Please register and join us September 8th, 06:30 PM at Oatland Island. If the Gate is closed, use the CALL BOX and press the blue ring button. Someone will let you in the gate.
Also note that we use the Main Parking area on the "other side" or "marsh side" of the main red brick building. Just follow the road to the front and you will see the large grass parking lot!
Hope to see you there!
