OUR MEETINGS are open to the public to attend!
CEBA will be having their normal 2nd Monday Night meeting at the Oatland Island Wildlife Center. Our club bees have been swarming more than desired, but we have successfully captured 3 of 4 in the last 10 days.
One of our new members, Alvin Singh, is from Trinidad, and will be speaking to us about his experience with Africanized bees. He is currently enjoying the 3 Banded Italian bees which is a new experience for him!
Learning how other beekeepers work with more aggressive bees will certainly prepare you to start recognizing "what is aggressive" from a realistic perspective.
As time permits, we also have the following on the agenda.
Topic #1: Varroa Counts - A quick review of our recommendations and the benefits CEBA provides to the members.
Topic #2: Do's and Don'ts when installing swarms.
Topic#3: Members providing status on their bees (Q & A).
