GUEST SPEAKER: Todd Foster
Many of the so-called "new beekeepers" will be meeting Mr. Foster for the first time. But Todd was part of our original beekeepers to build & test keeping bees at Oatland. He also instructed during our early years of the FUNdamentals. He is an avid beekeeper who continued in the area of "queen rearing" by grafting, selling honey at local markets, and selling/raising queens/NUCs.
His experience extends deep into the many components of providing the bees the best chance in producing a quality queen.
The topic for the Feb 20th meeting is around early Spring bee populations and to talk about the many options an urban beekeeper has to SPLIT your colony.
CEBA hopes members will take advantage of the "meeting", as Todd will be presenting information as an instructional training class.
