Since 2007, CEBA has offered a course in beekeeping each February.  We will be holding the event with restrictions on attendance and requirements to follow CDC Guidelines.

The six topics to be taught include the following:

  • Basic Beekeeping Equipment
  • Getting started with Packages Vs Nucs
  • Urban Colony Locations & Fly-away Zones
  • Honeybee Biology
  • Varroa, Small Hive Beetles and other Pests
  • Honey, Chunk Comb and Wax

The $50 registration fee includes the book "First Lessons in Beekeeping" by Keith S. Delaplane.

CEBA will raffle off two five frame NUCs (valued at $150 each), that will be available to the winners in the Spring (normally April/May).  You do NOT have to be present to win the NUC (only one NUC winner per person).

The workshop is open to the public. All participants must be at least 16 years old. The workshop(s) have limited classroom sizes and will be structured to CDC Guidelines

Note:  Mask will be required (available free at Workshop, if needed).

Registration with payment is required to participate. No walk-ins.
