National Honey Bee Day is August 18th and we're hosting a benefit for Savannah's Coastal Empire Beekeepers Association! Come check out their Observational Hive at the taproom and support and learn about one of our planet's most essential creatures.
Honey bees are a critical part of life on Earth, especially to humans. Besides producing delicious honey, these amazing little insects pollinate over 80% of all flowering plants including 70 of the top 100 human food crops. One in three bites of food we eat is derived from plants pollinated by bees, yet these hardworking little flyers are struggling worldwide and need our help.
In addition to any direct donations, we will donate $1 from each pint sold to support CEBA. Your support at this event will help them continue their mission of cultivating honey bees at the Oatland Island Wildlife Center, while educating and engaging with their members and the public to keep honey bees thriving in the Coastal Empire!
