  • CEBA Apiary at Oatland Island Wildlife Center

On the second Saturday of each month, CEBA members gather in the beeyard at Oatland Island Wildlife Center to inspect our bee hives, to give members hands on experience and to conduct workshops on various aspects of beekeeping.

Visitors are always welcome to observe. Bee veils will be provided.

Check the colonies, clean some hiveware

This Saturday, we will be checking our bee colonies and cleaning up some old frames - removing old plastic foundation and soaking the wooden frames in tubs of bleach.

Come get your hands dirty!

Calling all gardeners who want to help spreading the last of our mulch pile around the garden beds,  plant donated gladiolus and summer bulbs, and rip out dreaded thorned creeper vines.

Got any spare plants that need a new home? Please bring them to plant them in the empty ceramic pots that are placed around the apiary.
