July's guest speaker is Bill Owens, who was recognized by the Georgia Beekeepers Association for "exhibiting qualities that inspire others, and helps our association and the beekeeping industry."

Coastal Empire Beekeepers Assn. hosts meetings on the second Monday of each month. Each features a speaker (guest or local beekeeper). Topics will be announced as the details are finalized. Social time: 6-6:30 p.m. Meeting time: 6:30-8 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public. Annual membership dues: $25 for a single, $45 for a family.
